What’s not to like in a good roll? From Chicken Roll, to the Cheese Frankie, to a Chicken Shawarma, to now even a Nutella Roll. The seedha saadha Roll has evolved and HOW!!!!

I have some favorite GO TO places to grab a great roll. So, which are the best ones in the city? After a LOT of speculations, I managed to narrow down 10 best places to grab a mean Roll in Mumbai.

10 – Chicken Shawarma (Carters Blue). ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬†Do i even need to say anything? From a tiny shop in Bandra (Carter road) to, multiple outlets in the city…this place has grown and thats only cos of their amazing Shawarmas. The bliss of having a hot Chicken Shawarma on a breezy evening on carter road is inexplicable!

9¬†– LAYS CHICKEN SCHEZWAN FRANKIE¬†(Shree’s Frankie Place).¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬†There is no kid who has studied at Bombay Scottish school, who doesn’t love the famous Shree Frankie. Located in the lane right opposite Hinduja Hospital, you will find a constant hoard of people outside his stall. The special thing about his Frankies is that, on request, he adds any flavor of “Lays” (the wafers) inside the Frankie along with the other masala. Its one of my favorite things to eat for my “4 Baje ki bhook”!!

8 РMUTTON ROLL (Venus Bakery).                                                                                               Unbelievable food at unbelievable prices! Situated bang in the middle of Chapel Street (Bandra), this place has the softest, most delicious Mutton  Rolls. They have Chicken & Veg options, which are delicious too!

Go at 10 am or go at 7 pm….it is ALWAYS crowded! They have some basic¬†stuff like Burgers and spring rolls which are so damn delicious at dirt cheap rates. But their Chicken Roti is “Mashallah”! YUM!! Nothing fancy….its a Fat Parantha stuffed with their sweetish and tangy Chicken Masala. But there is something to it that I keep on going back only for the roti, whenever I can!
