Cafe Infinito – Restaurant Review.

Bang in the middle of what we can safely say is the corporate centre on Mumbai – BKC, Cafe Infinito is one of those dainty and almost ethereal looking cafes that take you back on the sunny streets of the interiors of Europe or America!

On entering Infinito, all you would want to do is grab a beer, or better yet, one of their amazing varuieties of Cocktails alongside the complimentary basket of warm and fresh bread with salsa that they serve on every table! I highly recommend their Bellini and their Mojito.

The first thing I had and absolutely loved is the Infinito Chicken Ceasar Salad. With the freshesst of the fresh lettuce and chicken, some beautiful seasoning and sauces and ofcourse the cruncgy and delicious pesto croutons, this salad is a must have.

In their vast variety of appetizers, I tried their  Fire Cracker Prawns (which treue to their name were the BOMB) and the flavorful Balti Chicken Skewers which came with a delightful homemade aioli.

The Shrimp Risotto  was definitely one of the finer risottos I have tried and everything from the cook of the rice to the beautiful flavors of the Prawn head stock in the Risotto were spot on target.

The Homemade Patata Gnocchi with Lamb Ragout  was rich and packed with some sublime flavors of the lamb mince and garlic!

The Chicken Roulade was sous-vide to perfection. The chicken was absolutely tender and the veggies and mash just elevated the whole dish along with the beautiful garlic sauce.

My favorite dish of the meal was the Srilankan  Prawn Curry with rice. Not only were the prawns perfectly cooked, but the strong  coastal flavors of the curry were an absolute felicity to have!

For desserts we had the signature dessert of Infinito – the Tres Leches cake and the Creme Brulee (since Philadelphia Cheesecake wasnt avaiable). The Tres Leches cake was dreamily buttery and so very rich! Each bite was an experience of pleasure overcoming guilt of the calories in it! 😛

The Creme Brulee was beautifully caramelized on the top, but what lay beneath was quite ordinary. Definitely NOT BAD, but not something I would go back for!

All in all, Cafe Infinito is a perfect place to grab that quick lunch with your colleague or just relaxing alone with a cocktail or even taking your partner for a romantic date to! They also have a special Bento Box Menu where they offer an amazing 3 course meal for 1 person at jusr Rs. 589 (Non Veg).

So, next time you are around BKC, do pay a visit and thank me later. I am definitely going back to check out their Sunday Brunch! 🙂
