2017 is, according to the Chinese Calendar – The Year of the Rooster. And while only a some of us are those “lucky roosters, Dashanzi (JW Marriott) has us commoners covered with their fabulous new menu in celebration of this “Year of The Rooster”!
Quoting one of the finest bloggers in the world – Mr. Vir Sanghvi, “JW Marriott is a Foodie’s Hotel”. And it truly is! I mean look at Saffron, Lotus Cafe, Romanos and JW Cafe even! Each restaurant at the JW Marriott Hotels are exquisite in their own sense and scream of nothing but perfection in all aspects.
Dashanzi is really something special though! Located in the JW Marriott (Juhu), this place is the hotel’s newest restaurant which boasts of serving some exquisite and progressive modern Asian cuisine. The best part about Dashanzi is that their progressiveness exults through the finesse of their food and not through some gimmicks.
So, in celebration of the year of the Rooster, Dashanzi has introduced some fab new things to their already illustrious menu and they, in association with EazyDiner, held a special event to give us a preview of their new menu additions along with their already existing delicacies!
Now, since the event was on a dry day, there was no alcohol. But inspite of that, everyone in the room that night can truly vouch for the fact that they were happy high, happy high on the brilliance of the food that was served to us that night!
Not many places in the city serve great Sushi in Bombay. Dashanzi is one of the top 3 places for Sushi in Bombay. Its authentic, creative and absolutely delicious. Their Sashimi is a must have too!
Though they serve the finest sushi in the city, what beats their Sushi are the unbelievably glorious Dumplings that are served here. Each Dumpling on their menu is exceptional in their appearance, flavour and everything else in between! The Edmame & Truffle Dumplings and the Prawn Shitake & Chive, Caviar Osetra are the finest of their dumplings and are not to be missed.
Apart from their Sushi & Dumplings, they also have some great appetizers and mains for their patrons. The Braised Pork Belly and the Lamb Chops are cooked with the kind of finesse that not many chefs have managed to nail and though the cook on the meat is what makes it special, the brilliant flavors are what make them worthy of the cost they are served at.
All in all, the new additions to the menu at Dashanzi are more than worthy of the reputation of this place and are nothing but an amazing value add to this restaurant’s brilliance.
